I think that is true for all the liberal muslims who also believe.

I dont know about that it is possible. But remember majority of their population lives outside of Tehran and are very conservative.
That is where the mullahs get their support from.

Outside of Tehran and many are not very well educated. Same dynamic you see in Turkey with Erdogan.

They are educated and Erdogan's support used to come from Istanbul,their largest city.
The literacy rate is pretty high in both these countries.

Not shocked about Iran, am semi-shocked about Turkey. Erdogan is finished in the not to distant future. Have many friends in Turkey who are thrilled that the recent re-re-election of the mayor for Istanbul was by a greater margin than previously. Many of the more educated people I work with, in Turkey, absolutely hate him.

Actually literate. Koran reading is not counted and it is not like that.
