why is it ok forhim to take shots at people but as soon as someone takes a shot at him they should be fired? If he wants to jump in the politics ring, he needs to be ready to take a few shots.
He is a victim and as such is above criticism of any nature.

So arranging a boycott of her (with the help of the national media) because she tweeted out a couple of hurtful (yet truthful) facts is pot-shotting? I guess if you can't win the debate, then silence your critics. Seems like a winning leftist mentality.
Never really cared for her. A definite Establishmentarian + her voice is super annoying. Which is ok if you have a message (Bob Dylan is one of my favorite artists) but doesn't work with her.

It was just a personal, playground taunt. Lying about the context, labeling the attacking conservative as the victim, and then whining about the consequences seems like a classic wingnut mentality. You don't have bone spurs too, do you?
I read a great analogy about this comparing it to a pretty well known op-ed about Jon Stewart, Steven Colbert, and Jimmy Kimmel, et al. They were funny men doing fake news or poking a finger in the eye of political seriousity for years, until, at some point, the dynamic changed and they decided to take themselves seriously as part of the political commentariat. However, as soon as any kind of serious scrutiny was aimed at them or any controversy swirled around them for something they said -- Voila! the clown nose reappeared and adorned their smiling face again as they claimed to simply be comedians, entertainers, and not fair game for the same scrutiny assigned to anyone else in the political arena.
Similarly, Goff, et al snarl and vomit rage and literally call the NRA murderers and proclaimed their parents and their generation useless and insist that their will WILL be done. But the moment they misstep and are questioned on something they spouted, they turn into Little Davy, the pimply teen behind the popcorn counter at the AMC, and "how dare you call out a child"?

She took a purely gratuitous personal shot. I don't care if he's 17 or 57, it was shitty, hateful, low blow, conservative bile and people rightly rejected it. You think her shot was ok because why, exactly? You wouldn't say that to someone's face, but its okay to broadcast to thousands? What was her point?
I also wouldn't accuse the NRA of being mass muderers or say the shit about Marco Rubio that he has in the midst of the discussion about the shooting tragedy. I haven't defended her nor criticized any sponsors pulling their money from her show. It's possible for both her comments to be ill conceived and for him to be a disingenuous punk who hides behinds his youth status, when it's convenient, as a shield against opposition.
