NBC News website only lists the driver as “intoxicated”. Absolutely nothing about him being deported twice previously and being an illegal immigrant.
CNN website had the story earlier when they didn’t know who the driver was. Now the story is nowhere on their website.

The problem with your attempt at a "gotcha" statement is that most people have never said all people from country "x" are bad because one of their number committed a crime(s). They do say if they are here illegally they have already broken one law and they need to leave.

CNN had the story on their website almost immediately. When the news was the driver was an illegal immigrant was uncovered, CNN pulled the story.
They did put it back up with the information he was “undocumented” last night. They have since taken it off from the front page on their website.
The point is if immigration laws were followed this would not of happened. No one disputes American citizens commit bad acts, that's bad enough, why do we need illegals to add to the damage?

The link in the article is a study about immigrants committing less crime. What I meant by my post is that their original story was about Trump talking about the illegal immigrant who killed the NFL player, but they used an apples to oranges comparison by linking to study on immigrants.
If I was to make a similar argument but used Black on black crime, vs bad police shootings of minorities, you would be completely accepting of it, right?
I don't disagree that media is biased. I just find it interesting that someone posted something objectively false and a couple of posters on here ran with it like it was true, and use it as an opportunity to lament about biases of liberal slanted CNN/ESPN, without doing a simple search to see if he was accurate.

I checked at 8 A.M., and it was on the front page. So, between 7:29 A.M. and 8 A.M, CNN posted it on their website? Maybe they did, I don't know, I didn't check CNN at 7:29 A.M., but I find it hard to believe.
And I never called him a liar, I suggested that was one of the possibilities I saw. I think it's more likely he didn't notice the headline blurb on the side of CNN's front page, or was on the mobile page instead of desktop. Something like that.

Similar to illegal immigration, regardless of how many check points we put up, you're only going to put a dent in resolving the problem. Perhaps we're not as outraged at drunk driving since we've all driven after one too many. Maybe if we hadn't won the passport lottery at birth, we'd feel the same about working illegally in another country.

Agree with you on the drunk driving effort. In Tulsa they even announce where they are going to set up road blocks. If they really wanted to stop drunk driving they could do it for the most part, but it would be a brutal process and people convicted of driving impaired/drunk would suffer immensely.
