Poor Sy, he's in so far over his head.

It seems like the brothers and Sy are all too close to the trees to be able to see the forest. It doesn't bode well that any of them will ever really figure out what they're each up against, until it's far too late to do anything about it. It's like each one of them holds a piece of the puzzle, but are too stubbornly antagonistic towards each other to be able to work together to put it together.

Is this season slower than the first two? This is the first one I am watching, and I enjoy it, but I am not totally hooked like I have been with certain other shows.

Ewan McGregor is fantastic though. He does a great job of playing both brothers.

It's a little "different" than the other two and perhaps a tad slower in developing, but I can't help but the pace is going to start picking up rapidly. Especially after the beating that Nikki took from Varga's goons. Good grief does Mary Elizabeth Winstead ever fill out a pair of jeans and boots nicely! (She's come a long ways from playing Lucy McClane in Live Free or Die Hard.)

I really appreciate an effort on the part of the directors/producers and writers to make this show a bit different and the creative steps they take. Who else has had the audacity to incorporate a musical guide to each character, ala Peter and the Wolf? Shows that they aren't content to just follow the standard pattern and will step out to add a bit of creativity to their work.

SPOILER for AC.

Fargo, this season's "bad guy" forced one of the main characters to drink the contents of a coffee cup he delivered personally a few moments before, with his goons holding guns on the guy to make sure he drank the warm yellow liquid. The "weapon" of choice was a large coffee mug, emblazoned with the moniker of "World's Greatest Dad."

Feels about the same to me. Its a slowly paced show. That's one of the trademarks of the show. Multiple interweaved plots lines that are revealed very slowly. Quirky characters that can't get out of their own way. The consistent theme is the bad guys are always more danger to themselves through their bungling ways, paranoia and infighting then law enforcement.

Ah, haven't had a chance to get started on this one.

BTW Boys - just last week she announced she has split from her husband of 10 yrs, if you're really lucky she may be in a bad emotional state where her standards have slipped completely.

I might stalk her.
I would be willing to split expenses if you were to do that.

BTW, don't know if any of you remember her from this, but she played Bruce Willis's daughter (Lucy McClane) in Live Free or Die Hard.

On an episode of The Tonight Show, Jay Leno had a regular skit in which he would go around knocking doors and then do something with the people at the house.

He actually knocked on Mary's apartment for the show and had no idea who she was. It was random. Her boyfriend, now apparently former husband, was also there.

I was watching Leno and recognized her because I had just seen Sky High with my daughters. You can watch the Leno skit on YouTube by searching "Mary Elizabeth Winstead Saw Spoof"
