Don't believe it for a second; these people were rescued and are being given free health care, clothing & 3 squares a day. Most have never had it so good. Tell your dim folks in control of the House to appropriate some $$$ to the feds to process them and provide more beds.

These "deplorable" conditions are better than the circumstances they left. Some of those children you speak of were sent unaccompanied over 1,000 miles by their parent/s and subjected to things a lot worse than the camps they are in.

I agree. But we still need to make it as humane as possible. That being said, the Democrats control the House. Pass an appropriations bill to fund it and I would have a hard time thinking that the Republicans in the Senate or Trump wouldn't progress it through.
It seems like the reports of sexual assaults are being appropriately investigated and prosecuted where appropriate. Overcrowded detention centers present a difficult situation. Democrats screeching about it but then trying to tack on a bunch of ridiculous things to a border humanitarian relief bill sure doesn't make them appear serious about doing anything to solve the problem.
Plenty of these illegals are coming with pre-existing illness. Is the death rate of the illegals being held in detention centers higher than the normal death rate of that population?
