It's ironic listening to that speech. Everything Obama says about the Tea Party Republicans in the house being obstructionists could be applied directly to today's left wing of the Dem party.

The only real difference between then and now is Obama eventually transitioned to Catch and Release which emptied the detainment centers but promoted more illegal immigration while Trump refuses to do so. The media would rather have catch and release (aka open borders) and thus suddenly this is a crisis again (unlike in January).
