So I don’t expect many of you - maybe not any of you - to read this. But it’s about a man, unfortunately now deceased, that I have respected for 40 years, a tribute to Walter Williams.

I became aware of him when he pinch-hosted for Rush Limbaugh on many occasions. He always did a good job.

Stop it! The first time I posted it it told me it didn't go through. I remember Walter on the old Crossfire show. He was always joyful and friendly and utterly demolished his opponent with simple explanations and cheerful examples. He’d leave them speechless, but never angry.

Dr. Williams and I were and I am adamantly opposed to affirmative action. It divides us.

I wonder if Dr. Williams finally beat cigarettes. He was trying so hard the last time he mentioned the habit.

He was never bothered by trade deficits. I've lived my whole life with a trade deficit with HEB Super Market. I'm still hanging on.
