AOC was on Meet the Press and pointed out another truth that neither party wants the American people to think about. We are upset that we have been overwhelmed by illegal immigrants coming through our southern border. One of the main driving factors in causing those people to flee their native countries is the extereme poverty with which they are faced. And one of the root causes of the extreme poverty is the brutal sanctions we have put on their governments. The thinking seems to be if we drive the citizens of a country whose government we dislike into dire enough circumstances they will revolt and replace their governments with someone who will do our bidding.
