Well, not really. I often like being a contrarian. The Big 12 media poll is out and TCU is an overwhelming favorite picking up 32 1st place votes to Baylor's 10. No other Big 12 team received a first place vote. Even big time analyst Robert Allen went with the Horned Frogs. I guess losing 6 defensive starters doesn't scare them as much as it does me. It is not just the loss of the starters but the lack of experience replacing them that gets my attention. When you put a Fr LB or CB out there and he see's Shock Linwood or Brandon Shepherd or KD Cannon for the first time, he is going to find out about big time football in a hurry. Robert even predicts scores on his site as he gives each team projected record. He called for TCU to revenge last years Baylor loss by a score of 49-20. I struggle seeing a TCU defense losing 6 starters giving up 41 fewer points this year to Baylor.
