How does Israel treat Christians?

Pizzaballa, who is also a Catholic cardinal, wrote in the urgent Saturday letter describing the events that the victims — identified as a woman named Nahida and her daughter Samar — were "shot and killed as they walked to the Sisters' Convent. One was killed as she tried to carry the other to safety."

The statement continued, "An initial review suggests that IDF troops, who were operating against Hamas terrorists in the area, operated against a threat that they identified in the area of the church. The IDF is conducting a thorough review of the incident."

Just to be clear:

The IDF was engaging Hamas inside a war zone. Inside the church was a missile launcher. And the civilians, either protecting the Hamas fighters or being used as human shields by Hamas were killed when they took off.

Oh, and this all took place LAST Dec. Very timely headline. use..

I know you're quite confident in your world view, and conclusions you've drawn.

What I will say is that having married into a Middle Eastern Christian family, this blood lust support for the nation state of Israel is an extremely simplistic perspective. As an Okie redneck devout Christian, knowing what I know now, I'm simply not interested in the US being the puppet for a a very secular Middle Eastern nation.

It's foolish to think modern Israel has much in common with the Old Testament Jewish religion simply isn't accurate.

So not addressing the actual facts of the situation. Got it.

Did you take anything away from the Tucker / Priest discussion?

Stay ignorant my friend.
Of course he didn’t take anything away from the Tucker video. He didn’t watch a single second of it, so how could he get anything out of it?

You never know what will open someone's heart.
What would change my heart is if Hamas returned ALL the people kidnaped and Israel continued it's offensive unchanged. I'd still expect Israel to hunt and assassinate the Hamas leadership and any others who assisted in the assault. But then it should be much more precise with much less collateral damage.

Guess you missed the original post. This is thread on how Israel treats Christians, not Islamic terrorists.

Any thoughts on how you would like Israel to treat the Palestinian Christians?

Treat them just like anyone else in a war zone. Don't specifically target them but also prosecute the offensive against Hamas. Pretty simple. Religious affiliation is irrelevant.

God's Chosen People dropping like a sack of taters anyone in the way of their new kibbutz's. Whoa, look at all this deserted land. Have you put your deposit down on the ocean view condo?

You're a twisted fellow. Like I said, anything or anyone getting in the way of those beachfront kibbutz's has just gotta go - right?

Interesting comment.

I agree with you that the modern state of Israel has very little in common with biblical Israel. I also do not believe the establishment of the modern state of Israel is a fulfillment of biblical prophecy as the premillennial dispensational hermeneutic posits.

I think you have hit on (intentionally or not) one of the main reasons the modern state of Israel enjoys such unquestioning support from many Americans, especially conservative evangelical/fundamentalist Christian Americans. And Christian nationalists. The influence and impact of the premillennial dispensational hermeneutic.

I also agree with you that our government should not be a puppet for Israel, not because it is a secular state though, but because our government shouldn't be a puppet for any other country. However, many on the right in this nation believe our government should never disagree with Israel or hold Israel accountable for its actions. This is because they have been brainwashed under the premillennial dispensational hermeneutic. And this is a big problem.

Oh it's intentional.
Since you are seemingly an anti-Trumper, what do you want out of 4 more years of DNC controlled Administration? We get the whole "not Trump" thing, but what do you actually want?

You asked this on another thread and I gave you my answer there. Here is the link to my response . . .
