Being drunk, stoned and stupid is no way to go through life.

Obama was a corrupt failure. FACT. Deal with it.

i can see you talking sub saharan pigmy goats in your budgeting meetings and trying to explain how stupid someone is for not understanding the importance of studying the goats scat for nutrient value

And yet, he is Einstein compared to the current Buffoon in Chief. 2.6% GDP growth... looks about the same to me.

It's all George W. Bush's fault, don't you agree?
Economic cycles... Giving any president too much credit is an indication of not really understanding how things work.

Then again, when DJT calls 2.9% anemic then throws a 1.2 and a 2.6 he is open for a pot shot or two....

Temporary hijack: Way back in my first OSU visit(64-66 when ROTC was required the first two years), part of the training was .22 marksmanship in the basement of the old gym south of Lewis Field. Sgt. Jimmy Shields (who looked like a bulldog) was in charge. Command was ready on the right, ready on the left, commence firing; duh, some poor bastard popped a shot before commence firing command. Gawd, talk about an ass-chewing!!:D

Great story! I had the same experience at the same time at the U of Arkansas. And that was followed at Air Force basic training in San Antonio. The sgt swore he would put the offender in front of a target if he did it again. "I dare you! I dare you! Do it! I want you to do it!" That poor guy was sobbing.

Oh, I forgot to add, our announcement was "Ready on the right, ready on the left, ready on the firing line. Commence firing!"

I was going to be smartass and call him a snowflake, but then I realized pussy snowflakes can't handle the real world, let alone the rigors of military training.

18 years old, from some little burg in Pennsylvania, away from momma for the first time in his life, had his head shaved, some strange bull of a man literally in his face, spittle slapping him in the cheek, he was terrified. That description fit many of us that hot sweaty summer in San Antone. I probably would have been sobbing, too.

Hell, JB, now you've got me going. I took a plane from OKC to Dallas, and a bus to Lackland AFB in the summer of '68. Got to the base about 2AM. They pull all of us off to the side and separate us into 2 flights (squadrons), Able and Baker. I was in Baker. They put us into formation next to each other and begin to yell and harass us. Able's drill sgt is Sgt. Martinez, a sawed off little runt of a guy, 5'8" at the most. He's walking around his group letting them know he's the toughest guy there, and dares anyone who questions that to step forward and they'd settle the matter right then and there. No one takes him up. So he steps into the face of one of the recruits and asks him "Do you think you could whip my ass?" "No, Sgt, no sir!" Goes to a 2nd guy with the same answer. Approaches a third guy, I forget his name, but he was about 6'2", weighed about 220, was from a ghetto in Chicago, had played football for Texas Tech. "Do you think you can whip my ass?" The guy calmly looks down at the Sgt and matter of factly replies "I know I can. Sir." Sgt Martinez stepped back, a look of shock on his face, but recovers enough to say "That's the kind of trainee I'm looking for!" The rest of us had to stifle our snickers.
