so my wife’s friend started a Farmers insurance agency and we switched to them to help I get on its feet. Even though it was more expensive. Feel like I have done my good deed and am now looking to get back to the best deal. Any ideas. I have seen the alumni association deals with liberty mutual?

Progressive for auto has been the best deal for me.my damn homeowner's insurance goes up every year even with no claims.i have to keep raising my deductible.racket.

Find a good independent agent with multiple companies and have them shop.

This because the value of the home goes up as the policy ages basically. Have the agent lower the value of the home back down other wise you will have to shop it around every couple years. Cost of replacement inflates basically.

Oklahoma Deductibles still don't come close to North Texas. 2% for Wind/Hail is starting to become the norm.

it's 1% for me with Safeco....a Liberty Mutual company. But any roofer can cover that 1%...roofing is a scam. Was with Farmers but agent switched and now he's an independent.

You should really shop and move every 3 to 4 years. Carriers have strategic pricing periods that can be taken advantage of.

State Farm, Farmers, AAA, USAA and then find an independent agent who can access other markets (SafeCo, AIG, Chubb, Progressive, etc).

I’ve seen roofers cover 2%. Scariest thing about roofers is they pay so much for their insurance that most of them don’t realize their carriers are sliding on exclusion that do not cover work done by subs (neither do their agents). So they can hand you a certificate showing they have insurance but many times it’s not worth the paper it’s written on. They are just happy is cheaper. Scary how poorly most contractors are actually covered.

Had to deal with Liberty Mutual once in an auto accident. Their customer rear ended me. The experience was so horrible I would never give them my business.

Farmers earned our business for life with how they handle our claims for Ike and Harvey. I was extremely pleased with how they handled it. Auto claims have been great as well. They handled all the issues I was having with Liberty Mutual.

They are not the cheapest, but close enough that I don't need to switch.

Glad this thread is up because now we are in the Home/Car insurance game in Stillwater. We currently us American Family, but they do not service in Oklahoma.
