Hillary picks Tim Kaine as VP

He's the safest pick. She's getting some backlash from far lefties warning against picking him though.

She just stabbed several million people in the back with that pick. I can't believe her staff let her do it. Snowflakes are going to be Home sucking their thumbs and inventorying their Pokemons on Election Day.

It's weird that it looks like we'll end up with two VP candidates that were for the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement before they ran with a candidate that repudiates and is now against it.

Strange how bipartisan we can be about unpopular things.

Color me not enthused. If she nominates him, it reinforces my perspective that she's a DINO on economic issues. This corporate liberalism is really tough on racism, sexism and gay stuff, but totally AWOL on economic issues. That's because being against racism, sexism and gay baiting doesn't really impact anybody's bottom line financially. She may get a big, collective "eh" with Kaine. Plus he wants to deregulate banks.

She needs to provide some bona fide economic reasons to vote for her over Trump. I haven't heard one yet -- he's for infrastructure improvement, trashing NAFTA and universal health care. Hell that's what I want to hear from the democrat.

Even as a conservative, I thought it would be a great pick if she chose the HUD guy from Texas.

This pick does nothing to push her cause forward.

"When I hear Donald Trump say the American military is a disaster, I want to go through the screen and shake the guy," Kaine said in the interview. "We ought to have a commander in chief who talks about our troops with respect and gratitude."

"Donald Trump emerged as active-duty service members' preference to become the next U.S. president, topping Hillary Clinton by more than a 2-to-1 margin."

The top brass at the pentagon hate Obama and Hillary. Their contentious relationship is well documented. When you have state department signing off on drone strikes, what does that say to the military? During the Afghanistan surge, the military planners said that 40,000 troops was the minimum they could accept and it would cost the most lives. They wanted way more to keep everyone safe. Obama sent 30,000 for political reasons. A community organizer and his Iranian Rasputin micromanaging our military pisses everyone off. I believe trump will say to the joint chiefs, "go do your thing and win." I bet trump never showed an iron worker how to tie off on a skyscraper or told him he was using the wrong welding rod. Let's put the experts in charge and see what happens.

Our military is a disaster, but only because of our disastrous foreign policy and the disaster we have running it. So many of our troops never should have been put in the situations they were and lost their lives, going all the way back to 2003. If Trump is a threat to the military industrial complex then that's a positive aspect of his possible election. We damn sure know Hillary will keep funneling money to war profiteers.
