Hillary Clinton understands us and is fighting for us

Let's be realistic. Dems in general are single issue, low information voters and as long as she keeps the promises of free shit flowing, she'll get votes. The rest are enamored with the whole vagina in the White House thing so they'll vote for her regardless of the current Hillary realities.

Optics over substance is the way of the left. Obama was elected based on "hope and change," not his lack "credentials." Slick talker who knew how to press the reward center buttons of the useful idiots.

If Hillary has paid 200 grand to dress like Chairman Mao and look the way she looks then I am even more concerned about her serious lack of judgement than before. (I didn't think that was possible.)

Dem voters don't care about her being a career criminal and a down right awful human being, all they want to hear is the words "income inequality" "tax the rich" and "free" and they are all in.

Hahahahahaha! Yep, 200 grand to look like that is worth a big laugh.

I was going to question your use of "whole vagina", thinking "hole vagina" was proper usage. Then I remembered it's about HiLIARy.

Arguably the people with the biggest stake in righting the whole income inequality thing are those at the top end... Nick Hanauer has some very strong opinions on this one...

The Pitchforks Are Coming… For Us Plutocrats - POLITICO Magazine

"The most ironic thing about rising inequality is how completely unnecessary and self-defeating it is. If we do something about it, if we adjust our policies in the way that, say, Franklin D. Roosevelt did during the Great Depression—so that we help the 99 percent and preempt the revolutionaries and crazies, the ones with the pitchforks—that will be the best thing possible for us rich folks, too. It’s not just that we’ll escape with our lives; it’s that we’ll most certainly get even richer."

Great article and I agree with everything except the bullshit ending quote you posted.

The problem absolutely is the corporate elite / statist economic complex. It's incestuous and that policy influence needs to be addressed.

The flaw is the idea that government needs to do something FDR-like beyond that to help the 99%. The reality is it needs to f+ off, get out of the way and do less and hold people more accountable for themselves. It's great motivation to succeed.

The real essential quote is this "What sets me apart, I think, is a tolerance for risk and an intuition about what will happen in the future."

The economy is not a zero sum game. But you do need a tolerance for ambiguity that most people lack, in order to succeed at a high entrepreneurial level.

The thing I don't think the left gets is that by having government oversight and heavy regulation of business and industry is that they insure that the only people who can really prosper are the huge corporations and mega rich.

They want to protect poor people but it has been shown over and over that people will rise to the level of expectations if they have no other option. Take the incentive out of anything and it will not succeed. Including making a livable wage through hard work not government largess.
