Actually no they don't. I'd expect that in a 5th grade civics class they taught you that our country is a Democratic Republic, which means that we elect our rulers who then rule. We do not rule ourselves. We are not a democracy. We don't vote on every issue. We don't decide as a whole what we do as a nation. We elect people like Trump, Shumer, and Pelosi to do that ruling for us.

The word “Here” is referring to the US Capitol building (pictured). The White House is for the Executive Branch (i.e. The President). The Supreme Court is the Judicial Branch. The Capitol is for the rest of us—The People.

Ever call your elected official and express your opinion? That’s basically a vote.

It is? Have you ever called your elected official? Did you actually talk to him? The one in the building you showed? Or did you talk to a phone bank of staffers who gave you lip service and thanked you for your support? And no, its not the same as a vote. The fact you think it is and that Toons then liked your same thought, brings a lot of clarity to our disagreements in how our government works. You have one vote (well you're a Dem so maybe you have more) and its to select the person who will vote on issues on your behalf. Everything else is just colored bubbles.

Oh boy, the short answer is yes, I’ve even had them call me ;)

The Supreme Court calls it free speech.

I didn't criticize you donating. I'm glad you support the things you believe in. I support my local animal shelter instead. My wife does donate to a donkey farm, so that's like giving to Democrats, right?

That said, claiming to have a voice that you know you really have only because you pay to play the game and calling it voting (your words) is pretty laughable.

That’s definitely an opinion.
