T/O margin is king, and OSU has a defense that leads the nation in both sacks and tackles for loss. In my opinion (I have not done in any research on this), but it appears OSU has not fully taken advantage of all those sacks and tackles for loss in terms of turnovers created and defensive touchdowns. Our defense is creating mayhem at times and it has not really received the full advantage of their efforts - yet. Usually these things even out over a course of a season. If our defense can convert the mayhem they are creating in to more T/O's and points and if the offense can stop handing out candy to opposing teams and either setting up easy scores or giving away scores, this team will look substantially better where it is noticed the most, which is on the score board.
I never cheer for an opposing player to get hurt, but if OSU can keeping sacking teams at the rate they have been, this defense will be placing a few more QB's on the sideline during games (Knocked KSU's QB out of the game twice), that is just a part of the game, and it is what concerns me if OSU has to throw 50 - 55 times a game to win, can Mason survive a season in the pocket like that?
