Here is my yearly gripe about our media dept covering our wrestling team

Seems like the media dept. covers our wrestling team like I miss spell words, covers them but not in a profession manner. I figure I'll post earlier this year so I can get it over with. Thanks to Flo and a few other media dept. not associated with the college for giving us fans something on the net. When was the last time you saw a season highlight video? John's Monday interview during the season, which is on radio coverage, doesn't even reach 60 miles outside of Stillwater. Why isn't it on YouTube like the football team is? If you want to get fans to come watch the team at home duals you have to make the fans feel like they're part of it or at least know a little bit more about the wrestlers and team. Very good video and I wish we did more of these types of videos.

Not saying that we will see more videos and coverage this year but this is the first year for OSU to have a complete video/media setup. I would expect to see more and more video projects in the future if not this year.

I hope that is the case and may have seen some evidence of that at the first practice when they came with video cameras and interviewed a number of the freshmen. I haven't seen the results of these videos as of yet.

They did honor Alex Dieringer at halftime of the football game. Had him there in person and showed a nice clip of his highlights. If half the people who applauded Alex would show up for a dual, we would have great attendance.

They have shown a wrestling highlight video at the football games before, a few of years ago, but I don't think people pay much attention unless there is someone live there to draw their attention to it.
