Curious as to what the board thinks about this. SQ 780 reduced some drug crimes from felonies to misdemeanors. It was approved by the voters. Now the legislature is looking to undo some of the elements of the SQ, the argument being voters didn't understand it. Independent of how you feel about 780, how do you feel about the legislature going against the clear will of the voters?

It pissed me off enough that I looked up the roll call and our newly elected rep from district 33 supported it. That's one big strike against him in my book.

it's infuriating .. I hope every single one that supported it are thrown out on their ass ...

Sounds like Bullbutter to me and I will not vote for anyone who goes along with changing it. It is so sad when they bust a high school or college kid for a sack of weed and ruin their lives with a felony because they had X amount on them so they must be dealing. I hate how ghey this state is sometimes.

Voted against the SQ. The question passed, and it should stand.
Same here and yes. Hopefully any attempt to push this through will be met with fierce legal opposition representative of the vote of the People. I'm not good at lawyering, but trying to make legislative changes dealing with the results of the SQ would seem to be unconstitutional.
