You have under 2 minutes to get out of the house before a missile hits. What do you take from your house before leaving?

I got the notification this morning and my first thought was that I don’t believe it. My second thought was I’m glad Honolulu is 180 miles from me.

In terms of what to take with me....probably very little.

Where would you go in two minutes? Think I’d just stay put if that happened here.

Rationale for 2 minutes: enough time to get to a few rooms to grab key things (passport, pistol, cash, “go bag” of food), but not enough time to get completely packed.

30 seconds would be enough time for one room and then hit the door.

If you are close enough 2 minutes doesn’t matter. And if far enough I think you have more than 2 minutes for fallout

I dunno. A nuclear missile is bearing down on us. We’re gonna die no matter what. I’d try to guilt the wife into blowing me one last time. Something like that, I’m thinking.

Had it happen to me fairly recently to due to an act of god event.

1) Fiancé at the time
2) Les Paul 6-string
3) work laptop because in my mind at the time, i needed a source of income to rebuy what I was about to lose

Yikes! What happened?

Loved ones and plastic Target baggies in first 30 seconds. Have them each grab something dense that weighs 5-10 pounds.
Next 1.5 minutes getting to the closest, deepest body of water.
Jump in with object as anchor and baggies as a breath or two of air.
Instructions: hold breath as long as possible. Then take a breath from baggie. Keep holding...repeat as long as possible.

Possible survival.

Two minutes... might as well stay home.
Ya this is what I am thinking. If a Nuclear Missile is about to hit an island like Hawaii has what could you do in two minutes. I would like staying inside would be your only hope. One if you survive the blast then your home would be the only shield on fall out and two if debris is falling your home would be safer then out in the open right?

You’re boiled!

Where would you go after you grabbed everything?

How far away from the blast zone do you think you can get in what remains of your two minutes?

In what magical world will you have time to drive somewhere that none of your neighbors do? If you have time to reach the car so does everyone else that owns one. Congratulations, you get to die in a traffic jam.
