What if Denmark wanted to sell Greenland? It costs them a fortune annually to maintain and provides little real benefit to the country. Wouldn't either the US or Canada be the logical buyer? I just don't get why this is considered such an outlandish thing to even be considered at a government level. Seems like I'd rather the government be strategically looking at things like this vs. deciding that my private insurance must provide birth control pills for my post-menopausal wife.
By the way, I'm not saying we should be trying to buy it. Just that it shouldn't be outlandish to even consider.

I'm rooting for Trumpland to happen, if for no other reason than to see how the media lecture us rubes re: the obvious evil of such a transaction.
Denmark might be wise in doing this. If all that ice melts the island might only be the size of Denmark itself.
