First of all I'll just say it looks like the leaked script of episode six is legit. Tonight episode seemed to set put all the players in place. No additional spoilers for those who haven't seen it.

Some big but subtle moments I didn't see coming and you could have missed if not paying close attention:

Cersei is knocked up by Jamie (of course). Did not see that coming and not sure what significance its going to have. Maybe to cause more conflict for Jamie.

The Dragon likes Jon. More evidence he has Targaryen blood?

Rhaegar had his marriage annulled and married Lyanna confirming there was no kidnapping.

Dani is one hard ass bitch and has a lot more of her father then previously thought.

Tyroin is having if not second thoughts at least some guilt over betraying him family.

Cersei is more aware then we thought. Jamie is about to have to make a choice.

Gendry is alive and ready to kick ass.

Not to analysis GRRM's mother issues but are there any female characters that aren't complete bitches.

Littlefinger may be one step ahead of Ayra.

Too much teleporting.

Noticeable, but no longer a big deal to me.

Sam said that he met Bran years ago. To me, it sounded like it had been 3 or more years. That confirms that a lot of stuff happens, and a lot of time passes, when the characters are off camera.

I get that. And I'm ok with it but after what is arguably the best episode in series history, it felt like they mashed 2 episodes together this week and cut out and transitional context.

A small thing. Just wasn't my favorite episode.

Most interesting reveal to me.

No more evidence needed --> R + L = J has already been confirmed.

Tyroin is having if not second thoughts at least some guilt over betraying him family.
Yep. Worried this could lead to Dani's betrayal. Then again, he would never do anything to directly benefit Cersei.

Gendry is alive and ready to kick ass.
The comment about "thought you were still rowing a boat somewhere" felt like an homage to GOT fans joking about Gendry's whereabouts.

Littlefinger may be one step ahead of Ayra.
Seems that way, and it worries me. The awkward exchange between Sansa and Arya plus the Littlefinger scene made it feel like they're setting it up for Sansa to banish Arya from Winterfell. To many directions this sub-plot could go.

It annoys me we've waited so long to get the Starks back together and the North united and they are already going to infight.

The teleportation used to really annoy me but at this point it is what it is. They are trying to wrap this thing up. There just isn't time to show everyone's long boat rides.

Gendry swinging the war hammer and being united with Jon gave me all the feelings.

Agree. There were a lot of issues with this episode. Especially early on.

One thing that really bothered me. No way Jaime can swim anywhere with all that armor and a gold hand. Even with Bronn's help. Yet, when the 2 of them came out of the water, the smoke/battle site was, at least, a half mile away from them. Writers should have had him come out of the river in his underwear (he could have still had the gold hand), and Bronn could have made a smartass comment about Jaime needing to get himself a new suit of armor.

I'm looking forward to seeing both guys reunited with Arya. Gendry with his hammer, and Arya with her sword and dagger, would make for a pretty formidable duo.

The whole "lets go get a wright and drag it across an entire continent to Kings Landing to convince Cercie to be nice for a while" seems.....really stupid.

Totally agree. Definitely not something GRRM would come up with. Of course, in the books, they still have 2 wights in an ice cell at the wall. But, I am pretty sure that they are no longer animated. Basically just 2 frozen dead bodies.

(as an aside, I wonder what GRRM's explanation is going to be as to why those 2 were found dead, North of the wall, turned into zombies after they were brought through the gate to Castle Black, then reverted to inanimate dead bodies after their attempt to kill Mormont was foiled by Jon.). Is it as simple as the Night King having control over them and deciding they were useless to him after their assassination attempt was stopped?).

Anyway....approximately 10 guys are going to go find an army of the dead/white walkers, figure out a way to cull one from the rest, and bring him back through the wall without being overtaken and killed by the rest of the evil army. Makes sense. In addition, they are all going to do this in an attempt to sway Cersei to their side...as if Cersei is likely to listen to reason and do the right thing. She is more likely to say, "There is an army of the dead descending on the North? Cool! Let them, and the northern armies decimate each other and we will figure out how to deal with whatever is left at a later date."

I was wondering about those 2 wrights last night as well. Back then I think we all believed they were like typical zombies. They get bit, die, then become zombies later. But we learned thats not how it works. People die and then the night king (or maybe any of the White Walkers?) raises them himself. So the night king had to have set a trap, let the bodies be brought into the camp, and then reanimate them? I need to rewatch that, I don't remember how they were found.

And from my understanding, they aren't even doing it to convince her to their side, its just to keep her from attacking the North while the North is...uh further North. Basically a "Hey can you hit the pause button while I go poop....promise not to kill any of my men while I'm away?"

Also, Did Cercie's witch say she would have 3 kids? If so she's either dying before its born, it dies, or she's not really preggers.

Found this discussion...
http://asoiaf.westeros.org/index.php?/topic/96581-dead-bodies-in-ice-cells/

I think the most logical explanations are that...
1). They are controlled by the Ice King/another WW and he made them attack Mormont then lost interest in them once they were captured and restrained

2). The magic of the wall is keeping them inanimate as long as they are being imprisoned in the cells, which are actually inside the wall.

The first one makes the most sense, since they clearly appeared to be dead bodies when the NW found them, and they clearly targeted Mormont when they re-animated. They did not function as mindless Zombies.

I'm with you. I really liked last night's episode but I still don't really understand the point of this plan.

Several things have annoyed me this year:

As noted above the teleporting but also the overall geography of Westros. How big is this place? I haven't looked at a GOT map lately. Does it have a scale? The north is like Antarctica since winter has come but everything else still appears to still be the tropics. The Citadel issues proclamation that winter is here but it still appears to be 80 outside in Old Town. This makes you think Westros is at least as big as North America however now people suddenly move from place to place at will. Didn't it take King Roberts party a couple of months to get from Winterfell back to Kings Landing in Season one.

I thought the loot train battle was one of the best movie battle I have every seen. There's a short doc on the making of it that great. But. One thing the annoys me as I think about it is the scene where Jamie and Bronn suddenly realize they are being attack by hearing the sound of the approaching hoard. They are commanding an army. Wouldn't they have some scouts out? Are you telling me Dani's army complete with Dragon travel 1,000 miles and no one noticed them coming?

Bronn exact position. He appears to just be a side kick first to Tyrion then to Jamie who comes and goes as he pleases. In a land where people are being burned alive for refusing to bend a knee and whole house are destroyed for disloyalty a sell sword is just allowed to quit right in the middle of the war.

Where the hell is Sam going. Is he taking a wagon complete with girlfriend and 2 year old into the dead of winter to Winterfell or the Wall? Probably need some snow tires and chains.

Agree with all the above about Jamie and Bronn in the River, They drown or are at least attacked when they come up for air. I know the hero falls in river and bad guys think he is dead bit is in every movie but the suit of armor seems to be it bit of a kicker here

I think the continent of Westeros is fairly large. Like bigger than the US and Canada together if they were put side to side instead of on top/bottom.

The Bronn/Jamie scenario ending down the bank isn't even as troubling as the they are riding horses on the beach and Jamie sinks several dozen feet.

Maybe Dani's scouts were smarter/stealthier than Jaime's. Jaime's scouts died before they were able to warn him.

This is a very good point. I know they had to delay filming due to lack of cold weather in some of their filming locations. But, for the story-line to fit, it would be at least cold and windy in King's Landing and at Highgarden (if not snowing). The Citadel is pretty far south, so I could see it still being somewhat temperate there.

I think when they are short seasons, I don't think it ever gets cold in Dorne or Old Town.

Maesters study astronomy, I would assume they send out ravens based on that.

Speaking of Old Town, are we every going to see any Hightowers? They are supposed to have the biggest army and most money of anyone in Westeros?

Is Samwell Tarly now the head of the Tarly clan and successor to Lord Tarly? If I recall correctly he was the eldest born, but the old man committed him to the Night's Watch so the younger son (who was cooked to a crisp) could take over. It's within his power now to take what remains of the Tarly army and wealth and commit it to Jon Snow.

Pretty sure he had to renounce all titles and inheritances upon joining the night's watch and the citadel roo

Also..... Where was the brotherhood being held captive? Was that back at Castle Black? Did Jon not make a pit stop back at Winterfell to assure everyone He wasn't dragon food yet? Maybe go see Bran and Arya? Make sure Little Finger hasn't taken over? That his kingdom hasn't fallen apart under Sansa?

That was Eastwatch. He took the boat directly there.

Does tyrion have any claim? Any way he can weasel in. He is older fhan Jon. Just need to get it legit

If the Tyrion theory is true he would be the son of the mad king and therefore number one in line for the throne. Not sure about the whole bastard vs legitimate thing but if Gendry is considered a heir I would assume Tyrion would be too. Bottom line is everyone thinks they have a claim to the throne but he/she with the biggest army (dragons) gets it in the end and then finds a way to rationalize it. Entire religions have been started based on that.

Bastard kids don't get thrones....I don't think Tywin's wife got an annulment and legally married the sitting 'mad' king.

I do think he's a Targ, that's a great story line w/ the 3 dragons....not sure HBO is gonna touch that though. Anything beyond dumb blond superficial depth at this point is too much to ask from HBO's writing contingent.

High odds one dragon is going to become an ice wright. So that just makes for 2 riders. It's not much of a match if Jon/Dani have air superiority.

or she's not really preggers

I was thinking about this...

I'm betting that she is not pregnant and is pretending to be so she can manipulate Jaime. He will be uber pissed when he finds out the truth.
