Democrats and liberals are very much racists. That headline was no accident or pun.

The left elite feed off the unfortunate minorities. Keeps them in power and the minorities in perpetual poverty and despair. Free shit gets handed out, and although it does nothing to solve the actual longstanding problems, the free shit keeps the freeloading segment of society voting Democrat and keeps the liberals back patting for waging war against the productive members of society.
