This is my player evaluation for next year:

1. Likekele - has the talent to be a good Big Twelve player. Strong and handles the ball well when going to the basket and makes pretty good decisions. Must learn to finish at the basket and get an outside shot and find the open player better. Shoots FT pretty good for a PG.

2. Anei - Can be a good Big man in the Big Twelve. Not necessarily a go to guy but a true Big 12 center. Is athletic enough as a shot blocker and has a decent touch around the rim. Also not great but good enough hands if we could get him entry passes. Needs to get stronger and work on his back to the basket game. Also needs to stay under control and try not to jump and block shots everytime a shot goes up.

3. Waters - Could be a role Big Twelve player if you had a strong go to player who could penetrate and kick to him to get his shot. Good stand still shooter who is heady and quick enough to play at this level. What he isn’t is a go to player who takes control of a game and get his own shot. Not particularly a good ball handler. If we need him to be that type of player then he’s not that guy. Also disappears at times during game. Bottom line he can play in the Big Twelve if we don’t expect him to be our 1st or even second option all the time.

4. McGriff - Pretty much like Waters. Could be an average Big Twelve if he were surrounded by more talented players where he could be the second or third option. Is athletic enough to play and can rebound for his size. In my opinion his outside shooting is suspect and can’t take the ball to the basket. He needs to be inside more where he can shoot short shots and get offensive put backs. He needs to be better on defense. In my opinion more suspect than Waters. More of an athlete than a basketball player. Not sure he is a starter but could be a role player if he finds his position.

5. Dzwaiga - In my opinion a questionable Big Twelve player at the best. Obviously a great standstill shooter if no one is guarding him. Sometimes he could be effective. But if teams guard him tight or we can’t get screens for him, he can’t help you. Can’t take the ball to the basket is too slow on defense and not real athletic. For most Big Twelve teams he would only be a situational player who saw limited time on the floor.

6. Jones - Has really not shown that he can play at this level. Appears to be a decent outside shooter but is to inconsistent to help you. Other than shooting threes he has not shown he can do anything else. Defense is questionable and even though he appears to be quick he doesn’t use it. Can’t get his own shot off the dribble. In my opinion not a player we would want to keep on the roster.

7. Demuth- In my opinion I have no evaluation on him. How do you evaluate a player who has played so little and done so little. I don’t have any positives I can think of and too many negatives to list. In my opinion bottom line is he can’t play at this level or will he ever contribute to this team. Time to move on to a lower division team where he might be able to play.
