For you younger OSU fans, Gerald Green was the top ranked high school player 2005, the year our pokes finished the season ranked in the top 10. Green signed with OSU and coach Eddie Sutton, then played very well in the McDonalds high school All American game. He subsequently went pro and got picked #18 and had a 10-11 year mostly NBA career but also played overseas. He won the NBA All-star dunk contest early in his career.
10 days ago he was sitting at home with his Ipad in his lap. He had not played basketball since the NBA pre-season and did get an NBA offer. But he recently signed with the Houston Rockets and has scored 55 points in the last 3 games off the bench, before toinght. Tonight vs the Warriors he has scored 20 after 3 quarters.
