Gen X Won the Election for Trump

You’re welcome. Now leave us alone.
Perfectly said and the spirit of Gen X.

We were Reaganites living in a golden age. Pride, safety, new found wealth, a technology explosion, and the beginning of Pax Americana's undisputed win over the USSR.

If groundhog day was real one of the eras I would relive would be summer 1982- Jan 1988. From the happy innocence of 13 to the hard partying of a college freshman in his first quarter of college in Reagan's America.

Otherwise leave me alone. I am eventually moving to the woods to retire from the cultural sh!tshow that is modern Merica!

So do you remember when the Vols won the National Championship for the Sooners? Middle of my HS senior year. Great times. MTV played music, $1 admission for second-run movies, complimentary crackers and water at every restaurant. 😎

1986 Sugar Vols that defeated #2 Miami 35-7. Lee Greenwood sang proud to be an American at halftime. He paused and yelled the line "from the Hills of Tennessee" The place erupted like Neyland. I was watching on TV and still the hair stood up on my neck and I knew we could NOT loose.

IMHO when you beat #2 by 28 pts and thoroughly humiliate and dominate you deserve a share at least of the title.
