Was out and about in Dallas earlier today. Ran into a guy who claimed to be a member of J. Carroll's family. He saw my OSU shirt and mentioned his relationship to J.C. I'm fairly sure that he wasn't BSing me. Here are some of the things he told me.
-Jeff got caught up in some messy stuff.
-He didn't do anything wrong, and expects to be fully eligible this season.
-His family is in good shape financially and Jeff has no reason to take under-the-table $$ from anyone.
