Fun things to do in OKC

End of March/early April, I will have a team outing for my employees and their spouses to attend. Everyone in my office is late 20's/early 30's. I figured we'd have a fairly nice dinner and then go somewhere and do something as a team. We've done Redpin Bowling before and enjoyed that but I wanted to try something new.

Any suggestions for some fun active enternainment in/around OKC? I

As far as numbers go, I have 5 employees + myself and spouses so 12 total people. I appreciate any suggestions.

Dave and Busters, thought last time I was in there it was pretty thuggy... Like scared I was going to get stabbed or shot thuggy...

Rent a party bus to take you out to Eischens.

Might have some more suggestions later but definitely recommended Dust Bowl/Fassler.

There is new place called Main Event up north. From what I've gathered it is basically a Dave and Busters on crack. Has been pretty packed.

I hadn't heard of the Dust Bowl, looks pretty cool. Eischens sounds fun too but we'll be driving up from Duncan that afternoon and spending the night in OKC so we'll try to limit the travel while we're there. I appreciate the suggestions.

If it were just up to me,that's probably what we'd be doing. I'm afraid there might be grumbling from the females in the group though.

The Escape OKC. It's a locked room game. Basically, you and your group (I believe groups can be 6 people total, so you could do 2) get locked in a room for 1 hour and have to solve the puzzle to get out. At the end of the hour, they let you out whether you solved it or not, obviously. The last time I checked, they had 3 different difficulties. It costs $75 per room, so it would be $150 for two groups. For 12 people, that's a pretty great deal, I think. I went with some people a few months ago, and we all had a great time.

The most enjoyable thing is probably to get on the interstate and drive towards T-Town

Depending on the weather and the day of the week most of the districts have street festivals once a month that are pretty cool. I like H&8th (although it is has gotten pretty packed) and Live on the Plaza. Good for live music, food and some drinking.

Might also try Bleu Garten if it is nice outside. Its and outdoor beer garden with food trucks. Has a lot of TVs, games and fire pit. Within walking distance of Dust Bowl/Fass;er Hall.

Also there is a new place being built in Bricktown called Brickopolis. I imagine it might be done by then. It looks pretty big and is supposed to have a restaurant, laser tag and stuff like that. No idea if it is supposed to cater to adults, kids or both.

Knew that was coming. You "T" town yahoos just love to stroke that mature tree and hills ego don't you. You had your own Midtown Tulsa, or something like that thread on here, and not one word from us okc folks about it. You just keep to yourself there in the land of mature trees and hills and let us try and help this guy out with some suggestions on what to do here in good ol okc, you hear?

Haha, I'm from Broken Arrow so I'm familiar with all that T-Town has to offer. I think we'll save three hours and do OKC. I do appreciate the contribution from the folks from the Land of Trees and Rolling Hills.

In Tulsa you could climb a tree or go to a d league game or see some awesome WNBA.

Whoa whoa whoa. Laser Tag? Is that a thing still/again? Maybe you can hang at the Crossroads Mall food court afterwards.

I agree about the Tulsa suggestions. You could zip up the Turnpike and spend the evening sniffing your own farts while walking up and down hills.

Stay away from Main Event, bunch of 18-21 year olds who dress like idiots. Service was horrible and food/drinks were meh. Do not recommend.

I like living in the Tulsa area. But one thing I've found slightly humorous is the underlying jealousy that many Tulsans have of OKC and the incessant need to compare both cities. Seriously, who cares?

Heck it even comes out sometimes in Al Jerkins comments on the radio. So weird.

Agree, check the different revived districts. Automobile Alley has something and is getting bigger. It's also really close to Fassler/Dust Bowl/ Blue Garten.

Film Row seems to be doing quite a few things now as well.

Fully aware of the long running inside joke about this subject. I like stoking the flames as well. And by the way t-town still sucks donkey balls, and that is a fact. Mature trees, rolling hills, beautiful sparkling clear river, museums, wide streets, yuppies a plenty, what more could a person ask for.
