There are actually several "journalistic" outlets dedicated to keeping you up to date on what groups of five college kids are doing on campuses you have never heard of. I think one is called College Fix.
I’d say be extremely aware of the artists, content, and message, first and foremost.
I’ve always thought of myself as on the cutting edge of music until the last two years.
But what teens are hearing (and seeing) now is something completely different than what I expected (long time hip hop appreciator), or was familiar with.
I only learned about Lil Pump recently. All I can say about his videos are “holy shit.” But it’s extremely important to know what kids are hearing and seeing.
So everyone needs to sit through the two minute Lil Pump video above.
I grew up with the music videos to Dr Dre's The Chronic. If anything I would say little pump's transgressions are milder and performative. No one actiactu drinks lean anymore.
