The Atlantic and "non-partisan." Lol. If you have to try to convince people you aren't partisan with heavy doses of self aggrandizing, you're partisan.
True story, sir.You know medic I think a new phrase should be coined....it's no longer the "dog whistle" but it should be known as the "Trump whistle" for the liberals.
To be fair, the Never Trump movement is alive and well in today's political landscape and they are all conservatives.
Personally, I can't stand Trump. But I'm not a liar either. Abandonment of the Rule of Law was an Obama Admin mainstay. This fake outrage over the danger of Trump is very distasteful

They've always been left leaning. Used to present a more centrist liberal view, but they definitely committed to the shallow end of the pool in the past 2-3 years. The Atlantic used to be one of my regular reads but I'm no longer able to stomach the hyperbole.
Which brings me to... What a bunch of hysterical panting. I can't take lefties seriously any longer, even when they try to be serious. They defy simple logic. I'm afraid Trump has caused the extinction of any reasonable opposition from the left. Mind losing has become the new norm.
You are touching on something I want to delve into in its own thread. .. Specifically an analysis of the delineation of the classical liberal and the progressive within today's Left wing.
I can't start it now, and feel free to jumpstart it if you wish, but I'm very intrigued by this alliance.
As a starter, I believe progressives rate very high in authoritarianism while classical liberals are more the stereotypical bearers of the freedom torch.
I want to chop up the Left wing and dive into the characteristics of the sub populations.
It is fascinating what has happened to the DNC over the past 10 years. The kids who grew up being brainwashed by Cultural Marxism-inspired theories have taken over the DNC and hence its shift to the far-left. They will continue to shift to the far left for at least another decade likely longer.
Ok, I'm game. Since classical liberalism is my self professed political ideology, I'll gladly start a thread to discuss it and the differences I see between my views and those I see in progressives, neo-liberals, and the generic "conservative/right wing." I'll try to get something up to chew on by the weekend. You are touching on something I want to delve into in its own thread. .. there won't be anything left of the DNC
it's the beginning of the end
No it’s not.
Just like it wasn’t the end of the Pubs.
The pendulum will swing back their way
the pendulum will swing to what
The left or the Democrat way
Has been that way since our founding.
The real issue is the Overton window.
who is going to be voting democrat
when their paychecks go up 400 a month?
In the near term you have an argument.
Eventually the current right will become corrupt
Gowdy is an early warning
The current scandal could set leftism back decades.
That is too short sighted.
In the near term you have an argument.
However
You do not in the long-term
Eventually the current right will become corrupt
It happens to the party of power every damned time.
Gowdy is an early warning
When that happens the pendulum swings left
The real battle is the Overton window.
Move it right or left over time and you gain ground ideologically.
The left has been winning this for years
The real grade for Trump and Conservatives today will depend on their ability to move the window back right
The current scandal could set leftism back decades.
It could also cause a violent swing left if mishandled By the right
This is why we have an escalation of information being presented.
They are trying to effect maximum carnage.
Goodlatte is next
Generation Z appears to be the most conservative generation since the WW II generation.
what do you think about gowdy as an
"early warning?"
my opinion does not differ much from yours
i just not getting into it as deep
the religious right will start dictating a bunch of crazy social shit and you'll prolly see a slick willie type dem come along in twelve years
but the dems are done for at least the next 12
they've kicked unions to the curb in favor of canks big bet on identity
people with jobs win elections
