I happen to have Hispanic friends who have had this exact thing happen to them in the El Paso area. Not ridiculous.

They certainly think it’s because of their skin color. Officer boards the bus and immediately goes to the brown people asking to see their papers (kind of like they do in police states). Rather than play 20 questions why don’t you just tell me?

You are missing the point. Your seeming fear of all things Mexico and Mexican is clouding your judgement such that you can’t stay on point.

The entire point of this post is to explain to you that police state tactics are being practiced in America on Americans. I don’t remember the mile limit, but the police have now assumed authority to stop any vehicle on the road within 50 (or, maybe,100) miles of the border and demand to see our papers. And you’re OK with that? You shouldn’t be.

We are watching as our individual sovereignty is being whittled away. We are being duped into thinking the government is applying tactics of tyranny to protect us. All it wants is just this tiny little piece of our freedom in exchange for protecting us from a manufactured enemy. Our attention has been turned towards a “foreign enemy” when the real potential foe is our own government.
