Looking ahead to the Spring signing period, we have 2 spots left. Not long ago, I was wondering how we would squeeze more than 1 guy into the rotation. However, most of the true freshmen have yet to knock my socks off to this point. It is still early for them, and a lot could change, but it is very realistic that 2-3 of them will fit into more of a deep reserve roll, while they hone their game next season.

By my estimation, we have 2 needs. This has been discussed in other threads, but I thought I would consolidate into one thread.

1). Perimeter shooting. In order to maximize what Cade brings to the table, he is going to need spot up shooters to dish the ball to. I can see scenarios where Harris, Hidde and Keylan improve their accuracy and provide what we need, but I don't think we can count on any of them getting to that point. I'm not sure how much of that we can get from Walker, and am dubious that Pena, Kalib, Yor or Watson have much chance of providing a significant perimeter threat. If MB can find a sniper, he needs to close the deal with him. Preferably a forward, as I expect Cade and Ice to dominate the minutes at the guard positions.

2). A PF or C who is adept at scoring. Once again, Cade is going to need scorers to dish the ball to in order to maximize his impact. Obviously, Yor is going to get most of the minutes at C, and I expect his offensive game to blossom with Cade getting the ball to him at the right time. I think Hidde and Kalib have bright futures, but they may need one more season before they are ready to make a big impact. If we could have landed Thor, he would have been exactly what we need to add, but I am highly dubious that he ends up with us.
