I am simply amazed though that people are such whiners. Imagine if you will a $5 mln payday for an exec in a company about to be acquired. Said exec is struggling with the tax implications. They structured their deal without contemplating how stock awards would be treated on change of control and now are asking for stakeholders to gross them up. That kind of attitude - that can get me a bit worked up.
