I really liked a ton of stuff this year.

Favorites right now are probably:
Sun Kil Moon - Benji
Parker Millsap - Parker Millsap
Old 97's - Most Messed Up
Lydia Loveless - Somewhere Else
Sturgill Simpson - Metamodern Sounds in Country Music
St. Paul & The Broken Bones - Half the City
Lake Street Dive - Bad Self Portraits

Anything else out there I should check out?

As usual, we are pretty simpatico

I'll add

Lucinda Williams - down where the spirit meets the bone
Hurray for the riff raff - small town heroes
Swimmin' time - shovels and rope
Songs - john Fullbright
Single mothers - justin Townes Earle
The river and the the thread - Roseanne cash

Haven't heard the Benji. Love every other on your list.

I know I'm leaving stuff off. Good year for music.

We are getting back to a good time to listen to Benji, it is definitely a fall/winter album. Fair warning it isn't an easy listen, but it floored me the first time I heard it.

Ryan Adams.

Ditto on the Sturgill Simpson, Parker Milsap and Justin Townes Earle new albums.

Ryan Adams - Ryan Adams (by far the best IMO)

Spoon - They Want My Soul
Old 97's - Most Messed Up
Lucinda Williams - Down Where the Spirit Meets the Bone
Neil Finn - Dizzy Heights
Jeff Tweedy - Tweedy
John Hiatt - Terms of My Surrender
Broken Bells - After The Disco
Jack White - Lazaretto

The new basement tapes.

Elvis Costello
Jim james
Mumford
Damn good lineup with songs written by Dylan in the 60s

T bone burnet producer.

Check out there release for record store day "what I'm doing here". Rachael Price did the vocal in one take. Pretty amazing.

I almost put Jack White in, but assumed others would. Need to spend more time with the Ryan Adams. After just a few spins, it feels like a lot of filler to me, but he's one of my favorites, so I'll give it more time.

Heres es the video, AT

L S D

Harrumph on Parker Millsap, Sturgill Simpson, Old 97s, JTE, etc

I'll add

Hard Working Americans - Hard Working Americans
Leroy Powell and the Messengers - Overlords of the Cosmic Revelation
The Dirty River Boys - The Dirty River Boys

Still deciding on Beck - Morning Phase .. have not listened a lot yet

Have already backed several new releases on Pledge Music and the likes .. looking forward to 2015

I liked the Beck record. Shoudl've listed it. It's really mellow, though. Several of them were great in concert though.

I need to check out the New Basement Tapes. Also should check out JTE. I have some of his older stuff, but have kind of overlooked him recently.

1) Sun kill moon
2)Ryan Adams
3)Strong Feelings - Doug Paisley
4)English Oceans - DBT

That's awesome. Hadn't seen it. Thanks for posting.

I saw, on Twitter, that No Depression is compiling their list.

This board has pretty good taste.

Was it just me or is the 2nd disc of the Lucinda Williams record significantly better than the 1st?

A new Spotify list is ITT. Thanks to all. Always dug Doug Paisley. My only add is the Bloodshot 20th Anniversary album: Andrew Bird covers Jon Langford, etc.

Another to add to the list:

Benjamin Booker - Benjamin Booker.
Definitely. Really good album.

Sunny Sweeney - provoked is one I left off. She's probably not real well known, but she's great.

The War on Drugs - Lost in the Dream
Spoon - They Want my Soul
Strand of Oaks - HEAL
Sturgill Simpson - Metamodern Sounds in Country Music
St. Vincent - St. Vincent

Many other good releases like Stephen Malkmus, Beck, etc. 2014 was a great year for music.
