Trump's the one who gave him the Covid role and didn't fire his ass when he had the chance to do so. Easily Trump's biggest mistake (imo) of his presidency.

Trump cannot directly fire Fauci, who is not a presidential appointee. Theoretically, Trump could pressure Fauci’s boss, Dr. Francis Collins, or Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar to do so. Even discounting Fauci’s scientific legacy, taking that step would be politically extraordinary considering a Republican president, George W. Bush, awarded Fauci the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Fauci also has considerable bipartisan support in Congress.

“Fauci has grown outspoken that Trump has ignored his advice for containing the virus, saying he hasn’t spoken with Trump in more than a month. He has raised alarm that the nation was heading for a challenging winter if more isn’t done soon to slow the spread of the disease.”

…And he was right…

Some of you clown fvcks ran off a helluva poster in @Poketologist who actually knows the science too. @Medic007 had to endure ridiculous antics over it too…

No offense but Fauci's legacy went up in smoke when he created such "based in science" rules like "6 feet of separation" and "2 year olds need masks", and when he chose political expediency over "follow the science" in regards to the source of the virus. Those are the actions that political bureaucrats do, not world-renowned scientists. But hey, his politics enabled his book to became a best seller so it was clearly worth it to him in the end.

There should be laws against this stuff.

You cannot contain a respiratory virus without doing anything other than a near-total lockdown which is insanity for a virus with an IFR in the 0.1 range. The entire initial lockdown (the evil elf’s advice) was a clusterf*ck. We should’ve “locked down” the vulnerable and let everyone else proceed normally with life.

Much of the problem with the Covid response was a direct result of the political divide in this country. We could see it in the media, in social media, in the dialog of our politicians and even in daily interactions with people. When politicians use something like Covid for their own political gain it shouldn't be a surprise the response was a cluster fvck.

trump made a number of hiring mistakes which should he win again hopefully he'll hire people he can work with, will be effective and stay the course.

Without a doubt though, putting Fauci outfront of the china flu, was the most disastrous mistake Trump made. Trump & some around him instincts were correct about the whole episode. Fauci got wealthy destroying millions of peoples livelihoods, businesses & savings. He is the anti-christ as far as I'm concerned. My guess is as more & more of these revelations come out he either ends up in jail or someone shoots him.

Exactly.
