Farmhouse

Snakebit? These continuing problems are usually a fish rots from the head type of issue.

I lived near there for a while. Those punks were a bunch of a-holes at all times.

Never met a bad one myself, but then again I wasn't predisposed to thinking all Greeks were a-holes.
I wasn't either. I spent most of my time hanging out with a fraternity. Since I made a gross assumption about the article, your assumption definitely gets a pass.

Why would you accuse an AGR of writing that? No love lost there I get it. Just seems like an off handed comment IMO. Nothing really to do with FH, AGR or any other Greek organization for that matter.

Not sure I understand having Farmhouse attached to the article at all other than a brief statement that some group was renting for the summer way down the narrative.

A cheap shot headline to get people to read the article. With their history it would lead one to believe they were involved without reading it. Reckless journalism.

I'm shocked that frat is still around.

That's surprising. When I was in Stillwater back in the late 80's early 90's, there were some stellar individuals in that house.

My Dad was one of three men on campus who started the ball rolling to establish the Farmhouse fraternity at OAMC in 1928.

If you're doing the math, yes, he was pretty old when I was born. In fact, I had a sister at OAMC and another who had already graduated when I was born.

Anyway, I saw in the O'Colly Wednesday basically the same story as appeared in the SNP and it was written by the same guy. Five paragraphs dedicated to a two-year-old story to draw attention to this story is overboard. Except for the building, the fraternity had no connection to the story. The O'Colly story is the only one in that edition which "earned" a full uppercase headline. At least the kids added "NO MEMBERS PRESENT" in their head.

Yeah, it's a real dud.

Let me lead by saying that I am a jar. That being said, anyone that would question the merit or standing of Farmhouse fraternity is simply being ridiculous. Farmhouse has been and will continue to be one of the more outstanding fraternities on campus. Outstanding men that by and large have made outstanding citizens and leaders. This column was not only a backhanded slam at Farmhouse, but a stab at the Greek system in and of itself. The Greek system doesn't work for everyone. I for one had an incredible experience and developed lifelong friends including farmers.

I need to learn to use blue font!

I just knew the history between the two houses and was joking.

The headline was built for clicks and painted the farmers in a really bad way if you didn't read the article as they really had nothing to do with it except renting out their rack

Author must be a jar

Well, doing the math, you are 96...

97. Jeez, can you not see what lack of oxygen in the high country is doing to you? Get back down here.

Dad would have been 110 this summer. I've inherited his crankiness.

There is too much truth in this.
