Criticism like this of Beyonce is not uncommon among the left. Most notably and recently is bell hooks' take on Lemonade. Many in the intelligentsia wing of the Beyhive pushed back against hooks.

For the liberal left it's all about do as we say not as we do. They advocate global warming nitwittery but fly around in private jets spewing carbon into the atmosphere. They are for massive infusions of money for the public school system while sending the children to costly private schools. Are for placing low income government subsidized entitlement people in high income neighborhoods while living behind gates in ultra posh mansions where the only low income people they mingle with clean their floors and wash their windows. These are just a few examples of their rank hypocrisy.
