Oh man, I guess that's that. I was unaware that a Green Beret's life was less important than an ambassador. Soldiers should be better connected politically I guess.

Benghazi was the only time in our history that an Ambassador has been killed by military/terrorist action. We also did not have administration officials tweeting out lies and standing up in front of the press the next morning spewing falsehoods to the national media.
Niger happened a couple weeks ago and nobody has still said much. The military press conference yesterday, which Fox covered, admitted that they are still trying to determine what happened. The only reason Niger is in the news is because a crazy FL rep got in front of some cameras and accused Trump of not calling the wife of one of the slain soldiers. Which apparently he had not yet done and for which he should get roasted. It's inexcusable.
To me it sounds like Trump informed his Generals to take the gloves off and get to work. It sounds like we have placed soldiers where I can't see a conceivable reason to have them operating and apparently he is not being kept up to date on the operations. For 4 servicemen to be killed in an ambush/attack and not have informed the families personally within a reasonable time frame is inexcusable.
But comparing it to Benghazi is just not a comparison.
Sys, seriously, right now the entire country, and that includes Donald Trump, is literally laughing it's ass off at the state of the "investigation."

And to help you a bit further, soldiers being ambushed and killed isn't a new concept and occurs frequently in a theater of combat. Ambassadors getting ambushed and killed isn't a common occurrence, you know, since they aren't usually in a theater of combat.
Should we get answers about how our soldiers were killed in Niger? Of course. And I expect to hear honest answers, which the previous administration was incapable of producing.

Military special operators have dangerous jobs. It looks like they under estimated the threat they faced. That's a tragedy and maybe someone needs to be punished just like the people responsible for security in Benghazi should of been punished.

Similar in so far as they were failures in the field seemingly based on policy level decisions - they both deserve truthful and complete accountings.
Well thank God we finally have an honest President that will give us the full truth, even if it makes him look bad.
I don't know that we will get the full truth on the Niger ambush. I hope we do. It's only been a little over 3 weeks. I'm sure the military is still gathering information.
Contrast that with Benghazi, where we were told the attack was due to an offensive YouTube video despite direct knowledge that it wasn't, then we were lied to about that lie, and more than 5 years later we still don't know the answer to many questions because the Obama administration just wasn't capable of being honest, about anything really.

All the conservative hysteria over Benghazi won't translate to liberals doing it, too. The lack of a FOX trying to create a scandal makes it unlikely that the dead Green Berets will get whipped up too bad. Plus the Trumpanzees will believe whatever Biff says. It literally doesn't matter what happened, the GOP will stymie any real investigation. Your team is safe. They'll just blame Hillary or Obama if theres any heat.
