Lindy and DZ should not be on the floor together. I’m not one to call out players, but these two struggle being on the floor at the same time both on offense and on defense.
On offense it’s continuous jack ball 3 through the two of them.
On defense they are both a step slow or more and it’s hard to watch.
Why MB went with them for the last 10 plus minutes in the second half I’ll never know.
Some will consider this next statement very harsh, but they are both guys who don’t know how to win. They are both guys that honestly should probably be playing at a lower level of basketball. I’m sure some will disagree with me.....and that’s completely fine. I don’t necessarily blame them as much as their coach for playing both of them at the same time, but that should never happen. Honestly, it shouldn’t and it happens all the time. I get why it happened last year, because it’s all we had, but it doesn’t have to happen this year and the sense of loyalty to them for being seniors shouldn’t be there. We need to win and we need to win now and coach MB should realize that.
They both came in the game the last 10 plus minutes and we struggled so bad on defense and it was because of those two. DZ isn’t quick enough to recover in a zone on a three point shooter and it happened over and over and over today. There is no way he should have been on the floor as long as he was today. Just a bad look from our coach.
I know many love Lindy, but he isn’t much better. He is a streaky shooter and that’s about it. He isn’t a very good all around player.
Again, I’m not trying to dog two guys who have given their heart to OSU basketball, but if you want the facts of why we can’t win games it’s because our coach is playing two guys that limit us severely.
They can both hit some shots but someone please tell me what good they are when they aren’t hitting there shots? I’m open to discussion on it. And I don’t blame them for today I blame the coach who played both of them the last 10 plus minutes instead of subbing in consistently like he had been the whole game until the point in the game where we gave up the lead.
why are Avery and Kalib good enough to start but not good enough to get minutes the last 10
Minutes of this game today? I think today’s loss boils down to poor roster management.
