At the midway point of the season, we've put together our midseason All-Big 12 team:

OFFENSE

QB: Trevone Boykin, TCU, senior

Heisman hopeful already has 30 total touchdowns, and has carried the Horned Frogs as they've fought through injuries.

RB: Shock Linwood, Baylor, junior

Leads the conference with 803 yards and is averaging a league-best 8.54 yards per carry.

RB: DeAndre Washington, Texas Tech, senior

Edged out West Virginia's Wendell Smallwood and TCU's Aaron Green after averaging 129 yards rushing and receiving per game.

WR: Corey Coleman, Baylor, junior

With 16 touchdown receptions already, Coleman could shatter Troy Edwards' FBS TD receiving record of 27.

WR: Josh Doctson, TCU, senior

Leads the country with 152 yards receiving per game; second only to Coleman with 12 touchdowns.

WR: Sterling Shepard, Oklahoma, senior

Though quiet at times, still fifth in the Big 12 in receiving and helped fuel OU's comeback win at Tennessee.

OT: Spencer Drango, Baylor, senior

The Baylor offense has been incredible, and this consensus All-American is just one big reason why.

OG: Cody Whitehair, Kansas State, senior

Saturday wasn't pretty, but with this versatile left tackle, K-State's offense had previously outperformed preseason expectations.

C: Joey Hunt, TCU, senior

The inside anchor of the nation's second-highest scoring offense.

OG: Daniel Burton, Iowa State, junior

With Burton clearing running lanes, Iowa State's rushing attack has taken off in conference play.

OT: Le'Raven Clark, Texas Tech, senior

The Red Raiders have given up only seven sacks in 346 passing attempts; Clark also has a 2-point conversion on his resumé.

DEFENSE

DE: Emmanuel Ogbah, Oklahoma State, junior

Topping the league with 7.5 sacks and has taken over as the favorite for Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year.

DT: Andrew Billings, Baylor, junior

West Virginia found out the hard way Saturday how disruptive Billings can be.

DT: Hassan Ridgeway, Texas, junior

Has been in a menace in Big 12 play, taking a fumble to the house against Oklahoma State, then dominating Oklahoma in the Red River Showdown.

DE: Dale Pierson, Iowa State, senior

One of the biggest surprises in the league, Pierson trails only Ogbah with six sacks.

LB: Eric Striker, Oklahoma, senior

Leads all Big 12 defenders with eight tackles for loss in conference play.

LB: Malik Jefferson, Texas, freshman

The likely Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year has been a bright spot in Austin.

CB: Zack Sanchez, Oklahoma, junior

Had two picks Saturday, filling the role again as the Big 12's best ballhawking DB.

S: Derrick Kindred, TCU, senior

Has supplied the continuity that has kept the banged up TCU defense afloat.

S: Karl Joseph, West Virginia, senior

Was awesome before a season-ending injury; still leads the Big 12 with five picks despite missing the last two games.

S: Jordan Sterns, Oklahoma State, junior

Continues to be a tackling machine, leading all Big 12 DBs in tackles for a second straight year.

CB: Terrell Chestnut, West Virginia, senior

Gets overshadowed in the West Virginia secondary but has been ultra-reliable all year.

SPECIAL TEAMS

P: Nick O'Toole, West Virginia, senior

The "Boom Beard" tops the Big 12 in yards per punt by a full three yards.

K: Ben Grogan, Oklahoma State, junior

Has a league-high 11 field goals, including the winners that defeated Texas and Kansas State.

Returner: Jakeem Grant, Texas Tech, senior

Electric playmaker leads the Big 12 with 169 all-purpose yards per game.

Returner: KaVontae Turpin, TCU, freshman

True freshman has been spectacular as a receiver, too, with six TD grabs.
