I did not get to hear much of the game yesterday as I watched the game with a houseful of grand kids. Watching the replay today I was really disappointed(not surprised) at the bias of the announcers. They literally tried to talk Heard into an all conference QB. On one occasion when he ran the option they talked about how perfect it was run. Perfect spacing, perfect timing, perfect pitch. It went for 2 yards. Nothing said about how perfectly our defense reacted to the play. The DE forced the play wide, the LB forced Heard to pitch, the safety was right on the pitch man. One only needed to look at the yardage gained to see which team played the option perfectly.

At other times, they talked about his vision after a great throw and catch but failed to point out how many open receivers he missed because he tucked the ball and ran. Don't get me wrong, I think Heard will be very good before he is done. But he has a lot of growing to do and there is no reason to annoint him just yet. The best QB on the field yesterday was Rudolph.
