The local print rag this AM had a story about greenhouse emissions this year being the highest in the past 30 years. Thus, they were recorded at higher levels sometime in the past.

It's fascinating that alarmists in almost every instance refer to past data to claim today's global warming as fact. Some of that past data cited occurred when the population of the world was much less and industrialization was in its infancy. What evil dynamics (fossil fuels, internal combustion engines, widespread deforestation, etc.) were present to cause those records in the first place?

If it's so bad now, why aren't we seeing more Dust Bowls or Summers of 1980 with more frequency?

I believe the climate does change and has changed over these past millennia. I don't believe that man (women and some who don't know what they are) has the ability to effect any widespread global change other than all out thermonuclear war.
