So I'm driving home from the office and the MSNBC Chris whoever is playing an interview with Trump. Trump says up and down and back and forth Obama built the cages, Obama split the kids up, and Trump reversed that and United the families. Kept repeating it. Then the talking head comes on and says that is just flat not true and fat ass is lying.

If the talking head was lying then he should be sued for slander, ran out of the business and that Network should have serious legal problems. If Trump was lying, in my opinion that is an impeachable offense and no person of good conscience would put up with that.

Somebody tell me how I am wrong on this. All of you conservative whores stand up and tell me why I am wrong. I am still behind the wheel and don't know what to believe.

Why don't you sue him.
Everyone else does.
Beat the rush.

I go for impeachment. Do it House democrats. Do it. Impeach Trump on 35 year old allegations since it went so well for you the the Kav hearings. It's the morally right thing to do.

It must be exhausting being a libtard these days. Do you guys get up everyday looking for something to be offended by or something to be mad about?
Put a tail on Trump 24/7 maybe you can catch him spitting on the sidewalk, leaving the toilet seat up, cause we know how you soy boys love to squat to pee and get all bent out of shape when we leave the seat up. Ha ha ha.
Or just keep crying everyday, its hilarious.

Mad? It’s invigorating.

You can't slander a public official and impeachment is for high crimes. Lying wouldn't count

Yes, theres a legal standard. Real high bar though but that deliberate, egregious lie would qualify in my book.

Correcting your absurdity is enough for now. Please carry on though, it's very entertaining
The lamest.

Call it what you want, but it's got you scared to post your opinion on impeachment because you know your going to get exposed for being ignorant
How so? How was my opinion not already expressed? Your really bad at this game bubba. I’m enjoying watching you stretch your vocabulary though. Long way from MAGA.

Eh, who1 cares if you abuse kids or cover it up? And blame someone that did NOT do it?

Nothing could be more MAGA! Conservatives never really gave a s*** about any of it! All the Jesus mumbo-jumbo, look how they treat children and defend it! Look at his child abuse on one hand and on the other too chickenshit to ride out a real military operation instead of hitting a piece of asphalt w 57 missiles. Well done! The zenith of contemporary con(belch)servatism!

I called it 30 years ago.

The term used in Article II, section 4 is other high crimes and misdemeanors.

An interesting discussion is there to be had (probably not here at this point) about exactly what that means or should mean in the context of impeachment, but I agree that lying to a news man about this type of stuff doesn’t qualify.

Impeachment is an inherently political tool whenever it happens, so in practice that means whatever the House can get the necessary number of votes to impeach on says it is....right or wrong.

Literally anything can be a high crime. The congress just has to agree.

The moment Congress (either side) legitimately agrees that “lying” is a high crime is when Penn State gets a just punishment from the NCAA.

Can’t elevate something to a high crime when they all do it routinely.

Impeachment is literally in the constitution as a vehicle for removing the President. It’s a judicial preceding in the Senate.

Impeachment is the exclusive purview of the House.

The Senate then tries those impeachment articles in a quasi-judicial proceeding because it is presided over by the Chief Justice, but is certainly still political in nature because the Senate can establish the nature of the presentation of the articles and the “trial” by rule including the rules of evidence, etc.

High crimes are whatever the Congress decides they are, if the majority of the House and 2/3rds of the Senate so decide Trump wore his tie the wrong way and it would be politically advantageous they could bring articles of impeachment and vote vote to convict. The Chief Justice would preside and then rule, removing the President. Sure it’s a silly example but it’s the truth.

I know, I’m high and on “bender”. See my argument above.

One of Slick Willie’s two articles of impeachment was for lying...albeit under oath.

I’m not saying they will, I’m saying they can.
