My niece's husband finally jumped through all the hoops of the city and state permitting process, and has opened his taproom adjoining his brewing cooperative. He purchased the assets of Mustang Brewing when it folded, and re-started the cooperative in their building on N. Meridian. The brewers currently operating there are Angry Scotsman, Vanessa House, and Elk Valley. So if you're a craft beer guy, go buy and check out their products. Hours are not regular yet but the brewers are posting on social media. It's open until 4:00 today if you're thirsty -

The black ipa has me intrigued.

Is he hiring tasters? My palate is experienced.

I've had some of their beers before. They have some solid stuff.

Are you related to John? We tailgate with his sister...

No. My niece's husband is Brad, who owns the facility, and leases brewing time to John...if we are talking about the same guy named John
The owner of Elk Valley. His sister is Stephanie Elkins (at least that was her maiden name)

Elk Valley Magic Juice is a pretty good local ipa. Thanks for sharing.

Several new breweries have opened over here in Tulsa recently and 1 up in Pryor.
I need to make some time to visit them next time I am in town. Holiday trips were too short and too busy, although I did finally make it out to American Solera. I really like the Galaxy Pale Ale from Nothing's Left but haven't been to their taproom yet.

I had Cabin Boys Stout on tap at Andolini's pizza. They just opened their taproom, but I haven't been. I've heard mixed reviews on their beers overall, but I liked the Stout quite a bit.

I want to go to Heirloom Rustic Ales. Just opened and It looks like a cool space. I've heard a lot of positive buzz about their beers.

American Solera is comfortably the best Brewery in OK.
