This as happened to me twice with this shit company, first time okay, it was just a glitch that was only an inconvenience for me, but the second time it didn't affect just me, it screwed my son and his family.

My son and his beautiful family bought a new house and I bought them a new refrigerator as a Christmas gift, ordered it from Lowes wanted it delivered last week but they told me it couldn't be there until today 12/28. So Sunday I get an email saying my payment was declined, the money had already came off my card. I called and they told me that because I didn't take delivery in 7 days they reversed the charge and I'd have to do it over. The kicker is the $2000 was not back on my card and probably wouldn't be on there for 3 to 4 days. I'm like what the F, you guys set the delivery date. Got an email this morning saying it would be delivered today. It wasn't.

To make a long story short. I have to repurchase the refrigerator and wait until they fit it into their delivery schedule. So now they want me to repurchase even though I don't have the money from my first purchase back and if they can't get it there in 7 days I have to do it all over again. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFuuuuuuuuuuuuuuCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK! Loewes!

They are dead to me. I'll pay double before I buy anything from this sh!t company.

Have a few other stories about home depot and one involves a fridge just like you. Too long to have to type it out, lets just say long story short we bought one and had delivery set up but the day they were supposed to deliver they called to say they didn't have it in stock.
No more for us either. These Companies have zero customer service anymore, they can lose customers by being incompetent and rude and they don't care.

Gave up and decided to call a JD Dealer in the same City as the Lowes where I purchased one. The MGR at the JD Dealership said he didn't have one but would see if he could locate one for me, he did that evening and had the guy at the other JD Dealer take it to his Store and the MGR there personally delivered it to me for free the next day at Noon. I don't care if it had been more as the JD Mgr went above and beyond to get my business where as Lowes did everything to lose it.

Had a similar experience with a dishwasher bought at Lowe's. Didn't cancel our order or anything, but definitely did not deliver and install on the day they said it would be done. We got the run around on how they contract out delivery and installation and how it wasn't their fault that the subcontractor didn't get it done when the contractor (Lowe's) told us it would be done. Yeah...it is.

First rule of thumb, never have Big Box stores like Lowes or Home Depot deliver your products. They contract everything out to third parties that are the lowest bidder. If you can't take the product home with you at the time of purchase don't buy it there. Second rule of thumb never purchase appliances, mowers, weed eaters or other machinery from Big Box Stores unless it's a throw away product to you. They don't warranty the product; they don't repair the product and they don't give a shit about the product. They are merely a distribution center to the public for other company's products. Follow these simple rules and you never have a problem.
I purchase all kinds of appliances from both Lowes and Home Depot for our rental properties but only those that have slight damage and are greatly reduced in prices. If I can't take it at the time of purchase, I don't buy it. Never had a problem following these simple rules. Hope this helps.

I get 10% veteran discount at Home Depot and Lowe's. Son-in-law and I picked up my Rheem water heater at Home Depot in his Explorer just before Christmas. I showed my Driver License with Veteran marked on it for $67.90 discount. Cashier assigned a helper to help us load in the parking lot.

Lowe's delivered dish washer as scheduled about 4 years ago.

And yes. Texas, Oklahoma and Utah issues a Driver License. Virginia issues a Driver's License. Oklahoma is the only state I know who doesn't know it's a city limit.

I am trying to quote a new JD mower, but I have the regular style tractor with all-wheel drive. I have the zero turns and they are trash on a few hills down to ponds I mow.
