I enjoy him irritating the media as well, but when you've got Dick Cheney saying you're too extreme, you might want to rethink your position. Banning a class of people, including American citizens, from entering the country based on their religion is about as unamerican as it gets. Not only that, it's completely idiotic as it's pretty easy to lie about your religion.
I think the Donald goes overboard with his remarks sometimes, but if you don't think he is right on the muslim issue, take a look at what's going on in Sweden right now. In less than 10 years, the "Swedish" will be a minority in their own land. Sweden and Norway are becoming hell holes and they are rapidly losing their customs, their culture, and their identiy. Wake up, America!

Time will tell if Trump has the staying power to win the nomination. The professional politicians who disregard or ignore the degree to which the population is upset with them doesn't bode well for their chances. I've heard too many normal everyday voters say they are fed up and don't give a damn what Karl Rove, the establishment GOP strategists, the media or anyone else thinks.

But that said, you make a statement as if to imply it can be stated with assurance to infinity and beyond. But I believe the point that Trump or others may propose is that your statement is accurate at this time. And they'd like to keep it that way for the foreseeable future.
As an ongoing concern (immigration policy and homeland security), until an effective method for detecting and dealing with radical Islam is developed, all methods for protection of American citizens should be on the table for analysis.
