I don't know where he's going, but it seems like he wants to be a 149. Most of the top schools look to be set there. He could head back to OH, maybe somewhere like Kent St.
I saw Jacob Null from NCST is also in the portal. He was a pretty good 165/174 prospect. Wonder if we show any interest.

Maybe. We don't know if Jordan Williams or Anthony Ferrari will end up being a full sized 165, right now they both look a little small.
Plus we could some depth there - Jalin Harper has wrestled at 165 & 174 this season and he's a backup 157.
So there are only 9.9 scholarships but you'd waste one at the weights where we have a couple of our best guys for the next 2 to 3 years. Bring in a stud who has to wait 3 years he will soon enter the portal.
Null isn't a stud. If he was, NCST wouldn't be letting him get away so easily. He's very solid, was ranked about 30th I believe.
About the same ranking as Austin Boone. You know that guy that transferred in even though we already had Voinovich, Mastro & Balmeceda around the same weight, plus Ferrari & Williams on the way. The difference being we are actually thin at 165/174 as proven by Harper starting duals this year.
And now Stevo Poulin from NCST is also in the portal. Poulin had us on his initial school list. You have to wonder why 2 true freshmen would hit the portal before their 1st season is even over.
I thought Demas was gonna be a great one. He's turned out to be pretty good.
He hasn’t AA since his freshman year . Pretty good ? If this was a cowboy you would be trying to fire are whole staff.

Demas has done nothing but get worse since his debut year. This is about par for every OU wrestler.
I really don't like defending an OU guy, but Demas has had a pretty good career so far.
As a RFr he took 4th as the 9 seed (only losing to Yianni & Eierman). He was seeded 5th in 2020 when nationals was cancelled. And he was seeded 5th again last year when he lost in the blood round. His loss on the front side was to a land mine in Real Woods in SV. And then he lost to the 10th seed Sherman in the R12 in tie breakers, really his only questionable loss at nationals. So in his first 2 NCAAs, he's 4th & R12. That's the same as one of my all time favorite Cowboys, Picc.
