Dogfish Head and Ballast Point?

They had regular Sculpin and grapefruit Sculpin in cans. Habanero Sculpin and pineapple in bottles. Also the Bonito Blonde and Manta Ray Double IPA in bottles.

Habanero had a great flavor but gave me nuclear heartburn. It was weird. I love chiles and I love beer, but the combo just doesn't do a lot for me in these variations. I love a nice warming hint like in bomb, but the heat forward beers I just don't care for.

I bought the regular and Habanero (never tried yet). I drank one of the regular Sculpins last night. It's a top, top IPA. Off the top of my head, I can say only Bell's Two Hearted is clearly preferable for me.

Sculpin is terrific. Totally agree

I had the Habanero last night. I actually thought it was pretty nuanced. Liked it quite a bit; still prefer the original though.

I've been out searching for pineapple sculpin today. No joy. Had to "settle" for grapefruit lol
I bought more of the regular Sculpin (in bottles this time). This store (Parkhills South) also had Big Eye IPA, California Kolsch, and California Amber. And plenty of Pineapple Sculpin.

Been meaning to ask you (or anyone) if you've tried the Anderson Valley G&T Gose? It's another winner. Interestingly my wife really loves it.

They have them all at the liquor store at 2nd and Bryant in Edmond. By the pier one.

Had the sculpins IPA for the first time. Excellent. I still prefer lagunitas and F5, but this is great.

Haven't tried it. I have a list and I'll add that to it. Weirdly enough, I don't tend to drink much beer in the winter, unless it's a stout or porter, because in the Winter I'm mostly a brown liquor guy.

Gose is a style that I either really love or don't like at all.

I travel to Tulsa a lot. Parkhills is such a great liquor store. When bomb was so hard to find, they always seemed to have some. Truly knowledgeable whiskey/whisky guys as well.

The AV original Gose (The Kimmie, The Yink and the Holy Gose) was the first one I ever tried and I love it. Their Briny Melon and G&T are quite good as well. The blood orange doesn't do it for me.

Odell Brombiere is really good, one of my wife's favorites. Off Color Brewing's Troublesome is really good.

Yeah I knew David would. I was looking over on the west side. I scored yesterday.
That guy is awesome. He got me turned on to Uinta Lime Pilsner. It's how bud light lime is supposed to taste. They also make a tangerine IPA which is very good.

Bought today. Not much of a gin fan, but I really liked this. I actually picked up the briny melon too. That's an interesting flavor for certain.

I drive across town to go there. He's knowledgeable because he has a great palate and tries lots of things. Sucks that the store is smallish. I think he'd love to move, but he's stuck in his lease for a few more years. Talking to him today about how he'd manage refrigeration. He's scrambling to figure it out.

My wife doesn't like gin either. That's why I said it's interesting she likes that so much. It does have a G&T essence to it though, crisp and refreshing with a hint of lime.

Have you tried the briny melon? Unique. Don't think I'd buy more lol

Yes. I like it a lot. The only one of their Gose's I didn't really care for was the blood orange. i think the briny melon is a great warm weather beer.

On a related note, I had an Anderson Valley Wild Turkey Bourbon Barrel Stout on tap at my friend's new restaurant on the Jenks Riverwalk (Maryn's Taphouse & Raw Bar -- highly recommended to everyone). I'd never seen it in cans or bottles. It was really good; not the best of that type I've had for sure, but quite good. Lots of vanilla.
