They'd send a drunk gunslinger after us?

those leaving aren’t necessarily libtards

i’ll bet the diaspora contains lotsa fed up red folks

Having lived in Texas previously, I can attest that many from Cali are Dems that are fed up with the taxes and cost of living in California, yet continue to support those same policies and politics in the new "red" state that they moved to.

Ahh, California, the place so bad that people pay a million dollars for a 1200 sq ft bungalow so that they can live there.

I cant speak to individual decisions. I can only go by the statistics which per the US Census bureau indicate that more California residents are leaving the state than other state residents are moving to it.

Really? You sure you don’t want to be slightly more specific than “California.”

Basically people are being priced out of California, because existing home owners have the ability through zoning boards to restrict the housing supply in desirable areas. Also property taxes aren't adjusted as properties increase in value, leaving the tax burden on newly sold houses and income. I agree I hope they don't bring these two features of California to Texas. The prices people are paying for houses does indicate that California is a great place to live if you can afford it.

The state of Texas should pass a law that anyone moving into Texas from a blue state can't vote for at least 10 years!!

In otherwords, if you are an elitist millionaire, then being a lefty works great.

That is actually what the left is about, a system of rules and laws that advantages property ownership and disadvantages the poor. It is actually in the Communist Manifesto. Plank 3 is limit the housing supply so that rents increase, and Plank 7 is tax labor heavily so that land owners can have lower taxes.
