And she accused him of not paying taxes? And he said he availed himself to every legal loophole to avoid paying any more taxes than he had to, just like the donors to her campaign. Shut her the hell up.

Now he’s in court facing accusations that he fudged financial numbers to defraud banks into giving him loans at a cheaper rate than he deserved. Does anybody doubt he did that? I don’t doubt it for a minute. Probably not as egregiously as the accusations, but would it surprise you to learn he did things like that? Does anybody think that’s not SOP for anybody with means when dealing with complicated financial arrangements? Wouldn’t every single person try and make themselves look as attractive as possible to get the best terms they can get? This whole prosecution is a politically motivated witch hunt. You’d think by now his persecutors would know it will have the opposite consequence they hope for. It’s the kind of crap that will get him elected.

This case is essentially a valuation case, which would likely result in the judge dropping the hammer on the government under normal circumstances. Although the government would have likely settled for pennies on the dollar under normal circumstances.

I have not followed the story with much interest. But it seems the judge said one of his properties was worth 18 million, while every other property within shouting distance has been valued at over 200 million.
