I know this isn't the "correct" forum so feel free to move!!
I've got a situation and I need help. I will keep it as brief as I can.
My wife's grandfather who is now 85 has parted ways with his acquaintance of 15 years. Not "legally" married and share no accounts, property, etc. I list "divorce" as I've heard Oklahoma has a stricter interpretation of common law marriages. He is a simple man but pretty well off I think. She has obtained an attorney and I assume she wants to come after him for stuff and he is going to need someone good I'm afraid.
He has a clear idea of what he wants to do with his assets I just don't think he has a clue where to go.
I went through this with my family about 8 years ago and I learned first hand how terrible it can be to not be prepared and have things done correctly. I really don't want to have to suffer through that type of thing again.
Can anyone recommend someone around the Tulsa area preferably?
Thanks in advance!
